Our first short term solution is a Bias Free Hiring Process. Often times only one person interviews or picks interviewees. Instead implement a panel of hiring managers with diverse backgrounds to eliminate a lot of bias.
Another short term solution is having a private and swift reporting and investigative process for discrimination. People can be scared to report discrimination because of retailation so having a private and secure way for people to report is crucial. Along with this swift investigation and punishment of discrimination is necessary. The levels of punishment changes on the level of discrimation. For example, for first time offenders they should take a class on discrimination, second offense should have bonus deducted or be written up and the consequences go higher from there.
